American Creed: Community Conversations
The American Library Association announced in December that the Marshall-Lyon County Library (MLCL) was one of 50 libraries across the United States selected to participate in the upcoming American Creed: Community Conversations project. MLCL, in collaboration with SW MN State University’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, will offer programs and activities that engage citizens around the idea of a unifying American creed, especially in relation to local history, challenges, and opportunities.
Events may be rescheduled due to weather. Please check MLCL’s online events calendar for up-to-date times and details.
February 7: March 5 Features a discussion and viewing of the PBS program featuring Condaleezza Rice and David M. Kennedy.
February 12: March 26 The Ag Economy ~ Join a panel discussing the tradition of helping each other during harvest, hard times, and how they build community.
March 19: April 9 Civic Engagement ~ An open discussion focused on what it is and how communities and individuals can make a difference by focusing on our similarities.
