September – October Calendar of Events
The Marshall-Lyon County Library is delighted to be hosting Exploring Space: Smart Spacecraft, Big Data, and Digital Models, a traveling exhibit highlighting space and the exciting science that helps us explore it. Featuring interactive kiosks, hands-on activities, and events for all ages, the exhibit will be set up at the Marshall Library through November. Exploring Space: Smart Spacecraft, Big Data, and Digital Models, a traveling exhibition for libraries, is part of the STAR Library Network (STAR_Net) led by the National Center for Interactive Learning at the Space Science Institute. Exhibit partners include EDC. Exploring Space is supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation: DRL-1421427.
Mark Moran will be returning to the Marshall-Lyon County Library on September 27 at 5 pm to explain and appraise your prized antiques. Everyone is welcome to watch the process. If you want an item appraised, please register for a time slot by contacting the Marshall Library.

FRIENDS OF THE MARSHALL-LYON COUNTY LIBRARY
What does it mean to be a library Friend? Attend the open annual meeting learn more about how Friends support libraries.
Thurs 10/10, 6 pm: Author talk by Minnesota author Patricia Lubeck, plus Friends annual open meeting. All welcome! The brief meeting will precede the author talk and will give attendees a glimpse into what being a Friend of the Marshall-Lyon County Library is all about.
