Balaton and Cottonwood Libraries closed. Marshall open M-F, drive-up Sat.

Update May 29, 2020

Beginning Monday, June 1, your MLCL will be open for browsing!

Besides the continuing opportunity for by-request pick-up and delivery of library materials, patrons may now come into the library to browse the shelves.

For everyone’s safety, time in the library will be limited to 30 minutes or less. Please maintain a 6ft distance from others during your visit, and do not enter the library if you are not feeling well.

Many popular collections from the Children’s Department, including new books, reader’s, popular series, and all media will be available outside the Children’s Department. The Children’s Department will be closed to casual use, but individuals and those sharing the same household can sign up for 20-minute appointments to browse the Children’s Department.

Because we are still seeking extra safety measures, public computers are not available.

Study and meeting rooms are not available.

The Community Room will be open from 10 – 2 M-F for newspaper reading and inside wifi use on personal devices. Wifi is also available 24/7 in the library parking lot.

Please continue to return items to the outside drops, located beside the front door and by staff parking. Items that will not fit in those drops may be returned to the front desk.

The Balaton and Cottonwood libraries remain closed, but delivery options are available. Book drops are also emptied weekly.

Summer Reading this year will be for all ages and will feature an online program called Beanstack, available as an app or on your computer. Sign up today! Virtual programs will take place throughout the summer.

Requests for pick up materials and home delivery can be made by calling 507-537-7003 or email library@marshalllyonlibrary.org
