In all buildings, time is limited and masks are required. Starting May 1st, time limit in the Marshall building is increasing to 1 hour. Please maintain a 6ft distance from those outside of your household during your visit, and do not enter the library if you are not feeling well.
If you are unable or unwilling to wear a face covering that covers your mouth and nose, please call us at 507-537-7003 so we may deliver service to you in another way.
Monday – Friday, 10 am to 5:30 pm.
Saturdays, 10 am – noon.
Many popular collections from the Children’s Department, including new books, reader’s, popular series, and all media are available outside the Children’s Department. The Children’s Department is closed to casual use, but individuals and those sharing the same household can sign up for 20-minute appointments to browse the Children’s Department.
Study and meeting rooms are not available.
Items can be returned at the main circulation desk or to outside book drops, located beside the front door and by staff parking. Items that will not fit in those drops may be returned to the front desk or drive-up window (during drive-up window hours).
Marshall Drive-Up Window
Monday – Friday, 4 pm – 5:30 pm.
Saturdays, 9 am – noon.
The drive-up window is for holds pick-up only. Please be ready to show your library card. Holds can be placed online or by contacting the library during browsing hours. Learn how to place holds yourself here.
The drive-up window is located on the east side of the building just before the drive-up drop box.
Balaton & Cottonwood Libraries
Wednesday, 10 am to 1 pm by appointment.
To schedule an appointment, please contact the Marshall library (507-537-7003, email@example.com). Cottonwood (507-423-6488) & Balaton (507-734-2034) can be contacted directly during open hours.
Due to the size of these libraries, access is very limited to allow for safe social distancing. Masks are required and should cover the mouth and nose.
Pick-up and delivery options are still available. Book drops are emptied weekly.
Computers & Wifi
Public computers and printers are available to use for a maximum of 30 minutes. Guest passes are not available. Please remember that you are limited to 30 minutes in the building; if you also wish to check out books, please plan time for that.
Wireless printing from personal devices (smartphones, laptops) is available at the Marshall library.
Wifi is also available 24/7 in parking spaces close to the library building. Access the Public wifi with password bookstoread.
Pick-Up & Delivery
By-request pick-up and delivery of library materials is still available. Requests for pick up materials and home delivery can be made by calling 507-537-7003 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
