Car Cinema – Get Out
June 25 @ 9:30 pm - 11:15 pm
Movie night in the parking lot!
With the support of the Plum Creek Library System and the residents of Minnesota, we will be hosting an in-car outdoor movie in the Marshall library parking lot on Friday, June 11th. This week, we’ll be showing Get Out (2017, PG-13, 1 hour 44 minutes). This psychological horror thriller features a young black man visiting his white girlfriend’s parents. It is rated R for violence, bloody images, and language including sexual references.
The event begins at 9:30 pm.
Due to license restrictions and to ensure sightlines to the screen, space is limited. Some spots are by registration only. Additional spots will be available starting at 9:20 pm on a first come, first served basis.
Click here to register to reserve a spot here! If registration has closed, you may still be able to attend if spaces are available at 9:20 pm. If everything is full, don’t worry: we plan to continue to hold drive-ins as weather allows.
This is an in-vehicle event: you will use your car radio to tune in to the audio of the movie.
Because equipment must run outdoors, this event is subject to cancellation due to weather. If, by 4 pm on Friday, the National Weather Service forecasts the chance of precipitation to be 40% or above during the event, the event will be cancelled. Rain during the event may cause the event to end early. Temperatures below 30 degrees may also cause the event to be cancelled. Check the forecast here. Announcements for cancellations will be made on social media, this website, and on Marshall Radio. Registered cars will also receive an email from us.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
