Emerging Farmers Listening Session

November 12 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Greetings!

I am excited to invite you to the November Emerging Farmers Listening Sessions. These sessions will serve to advance the success and sustainability of farmers who traditionally face barriers to the education and resources necessary to build profitable agricultural businesses, including immigrant farmers and farmers of color. We will begin our time together by working to identify barriers that emerging farmers throughout Minnesota are experiencing. We hope to both gather information regarding issues that Minnesota emerging farmers are experiencing and work together to brainstorm potential solutions that will effectively transform the issues discussed.

Your voice is essential to our success in identifying ways to change the face of what agriculture looks like in Minnesota! Our hope is that together we will make a difference and create opportunities for the emerging farmers in our state.

Thank you!

Light refreshments will be served.

If you have any questions or need assistance, contact Patrice Bailey, 651-238-4523 or email: Patrice.bailey@state.mn.us

I look forward to working with all of you on these important issues!

Similar listening sessions will be held in other communities.  For more information on the Emerging Farmers Working Group of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, please visit https://www.mda.state.mn.us/emerging-farmers-working-group.
