One Book One Minnesota author talk
December 8, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
One Book | One Minnesota is a new statewide book club that invites Minnesotans of all ages to read a common title and come together virtually to enjoy, reflect and discuss.
Join your fellow Minnesotans on Tuesday, December 8th at 7:00 pm to discuss the book with author Louise Erdrich. To register for the Zoom meeting, visit: https://thefriends.org/minnesota-center-for-the-book/one-book-one-minnesota/
About the Fall Selection
Welcome to the third chapter of One Book | One Minnesota. The Friends started this program in spring 2020 in response to the isolation and resource gaps created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The desire was to bring Minnesotans together to share in the collective joy of reading and come together as a virtual community. The first featured book selection in spring 2020 was Because of Winn-Dixie (Candlewick Press) by Kate DiCamillo. The summer selection was A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota edited by Sun Yung Shin (Minnesota Historical Society Press).
The Plague of Doves is available on Hoopla and from your library, but the easiest way to access it is from Ebooks Minnesota. Through Ebooks Minnesota, anyone in the state can access the digital book for free, even if they don’t have a library card. An audiobook version will also be available digitally through Mackin VIA. The Plague of Doves is available via Ebooks Minnesota and Mackin VIA from October 19th through December 13th, 2020.
