Preparing for the Solar Eclipse

April 10 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Professor Ken Murphy from SMSU’s Physics Dept. and Planetarium will discuss science, spectacle, and safety measures in preparation of the 2017 solar eclipse.

Another discussion will be held in July, date TBD.

On Monday, August 27th, a total solar eclipse will be visible throughout the center of the United States. Although Minnesota is too far north to be in the path of the eclipse, Nebraska will be directly in the path of the eclipse. You can find out more about the eclipse and related NASA events at eclipse2017.nasa.gov.
