Readings with Adam Vines

Southwest Minnesota State University will be hosting Adam Vines on Wednesday, November 7 at 1 pm at the Marshall-Lyon County Library where he will be reading poetry from his book, Out of Speech. This is part of the SMSU Visiting Writers series.
Adam Vines is an associate professor of English at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he is Editor of Birmingham Poetry Review and Director of the English Honors Program. He has published poems in Poetry, Kenyon Review, Southwest Review, The Literary Review, The Hopkins Review, Barrow Street, Five Points, Green Mountains Review, 32 Poems, among others. He is the author of Out of Speech (LSU Press, 2018) and The Coal Life (U of Arkansas P, 2012) and coauthor of Day Kink (Unicorn Press, 2018) and According to Discretion (Unicorn Press, 2015).
This lecture will also be presented later in the day at 7 pm in SMSU’s Charter Hall Room 201. Both events are free and open to the public. A map of SMSU’s facility can be found here: http://www.smsu.edu/map/index.html.
