Remembering the Great War: The War Everyone Lost

Jim Zarzana, English Professor Emeritus of SMSU, will present a lecture and discussion on the influenza epidemic of the early 20th century, entitled “The War Everyone Lost: The Great Influenza, 1918.”

This event is a repeat of an event that will be held at SMSU on Wednesday, February 14th at noon in SMSU’s Charter Hall room 201.

Part of the Remembering the Great War lecture series.

The Remembering the Great War lecture series is a several-year collaboration between Southwest Minnesota State University and the Marshall-Lyon County Library commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War I. Each lecture is presented by an SMSU professor on a different topic of WWI. Lectures are repeated at the Marshall library and in at SMSU.
