The Women of Southwest Minnesota and the Great War

Dr. Anita Gaul of SMSU will present a lecture and discussion entitled “The Women of Southwest Minnesota and the Great War”.

This event will also be held at Southwest Minnesota State University on March 21 at 12:30 pm in the Whipple Gallery of the McFarland Library. Both events are free and open to the public, but please be aware that parking access may be restricted at SMSU.

After both presentations, Professor Gaul will be signing copies of her new book The Women of Southwest Minnesota  and the Great War published by the Society for the Study of Local and Regional History.  Books will be available for purchase at the presentations.

Part of the Remembering the Great War lecture series.

The Remembering the Great War lecture series is a several-year collaboration between Southwest Minnesota State University and the Marshall-Lyon County Library commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War I. Each lecture is presented by an SMSU professor on a different topic of WWI. Lectures are repeated at the Marshall library and in at SMSU.
