Teen Crafternoon – Fabric Stenciling & Tie-Dye
August 19 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Our August teen crafternoon involves making and using your own fabric stencil in the courtyard of the Marshall Library! Draw a design on freezer paper, cut it out, and use it as a stencil! You can bring your own shirt, bag, etc., to decorate or use one of our tote bags. We’re also bringing back tie-dye for an encore to celebrate Sounds of Summer. Bring your own 100% cotton item to dye or dye a cotton tote bag. We’ll have a variety of colors, rubber bands, needle & thread, and other things you need to make your favorite design. (Supplies limited.)
We’ll have gloves for you to wear, but make sure to wear clothes that can get stained in case of messes. We’ll be using fabric paint, designed to paint on clothing, and tie-dye will dye fabric! Sunscreen and other sun-protection is also recommended.
This event is weather-dependent. Due to the messy nature of this craft and limited space, we cannot move indoors in poor weather. Light rain will not affect this event, but a thunderstorm or very high temperatures might.
