Teen Tabletop Gaming (Outside & Online!)
June 22 @ 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 3:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until August 28, 2021
One event on June 17, 2021 at 3:30pm
Teen Tabletop Gaming is meeting in the library courtyard! If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry; we’ll also be running the discord chat with a speaker, microphone, and occasional video of the game board.
If the weather is forecast to be bad for meeting outdoors, we’ll decide at least a day ahead of time to switch to online only. You can watch the website events calendar to see which we’re doing.
If you’re joining us in the courtyard, be sure to bring what you need to play and be comfortable outdoors. This includes your character sheet, any resources you usually consult from home, sunscreen or protective clothing, and water. You can access the library wifi from the courtyard. We’ll have dice if you need them, but you’re also welcome to bring your own!
For those joining us online: we’re using Discord, a free voice and chat service that lets you create private servers. You can use it right in your browser without installing anything. You can also install it on a computer or use the app on a tablet or smartphone. You will need to sign up for an account with a valid email address before you can use it. The chat server will be moderated by a librarian. Parents, you can learn more about discord here. Please email Emilirose (firstname.lastname@example.org) or contact Emilirose #6886 on Discord for a link to the server.
We usually play the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons. We also spend a lot of time chatting, collaborating on video games, and getting our characters ready. We start playing when enough players have arrived, and we’ll be done by around 6 pm. It’s okay if you have to leave early.
Adult players: this event is specifically for teens and preteens. Looking for a group? Email Emilirose (email@example.com) to be added to our list of local players looking for a party! You can also join the SWMN Tabletop RPG discord server to meet with other local players.
